Nevada Senator Harry Reid today hailed the passage of comprehensive health care reform legislation. This bill, combined with the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, will reduce the federal deficit by $143 billion in the first ten years it is law. "When all is said and done more than 600,000 Nevadans will be able to access affordable coverage," said Reid. "More than 300,000 Nevadans will get tax credits to help them buy health coverage on the private market. Another 300,000 seniors will get free annual services such as physicals and check-ups."
