Nevada Senator Harry Reid today discussed the status of the health insurance reform bill he has been working on with Senators Dodd and Baucus and the White House. Reid announced today that he is sending a bill to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) that includes a public option giving states the choice to opt-out. When the CBO has finished scoring the combined Senate bill, Reid will bring the bill to the floor for an open debate and amendment process.
