Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today announced nearly $600,000 from the Department of Agriculture to help Nevada farmers, ranchers and landowners protect agricultural and forest land. The state will receive $584,761 after applying for funding through the Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program, the Grassland Reserve Program, and the Healthy Forests Reserve Program. Funding is made available through the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008, also known as the Farm Bill. ###
