Reid Announces $1 Million in Economic Recovery Funding for University Of Nevada Reno

Money will ensure one of Nevada’s premiere Universities continue their excellence in scientific research

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Nevada Senator Harry Reid today announced nearly $1 million from the economic recovery package awarded to the University of Nevada Reno on behalf of the National Science Foundation. The funds, totaling $988,389, is under the direction of John Cushman.
 
“Investing in education is a cornerstone in the economic recovery of Nevada,” said Reid. “There’s nothing more important than ensuring that schools at all levels of academia have the resources they need to educate their students to the best of their ability, and in this case, encourage cutting edge research projects that enrich the lives of Nevadans and all Americans.”
