Elko broadcaster discusses the needs of rural communities in broadcasting January 27, 2010
Elko newscaster and Corporation for Public Broadcasting board member Lori Gilbert interviews Nevada Senator Harry Reid. The two talked about the public broadcasting needs of rural areas. Washington, D.C.—Nevada Senator Harry Reid met yesterday with Lori Gilbert, a television and radio broadcaster from Elko and board member for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), to examine the role of public broadcasting in rural areas. Reid and Gilbert discussed the importance of attracting broadcasting service to those areas currently without access, as well as ways to implement the CPB strategy for the future.
