Nevada Senator Harry Reid is honored by the Rainbow Dreams Charter Academy for his long standing support of the Las Vegas Charter School.

Las Vegas, NV – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today was honored with the Rainbow Dreams Academy Image Award by the Rainbow Dreams Academy as a part of their Juneteenth celebration. The Academy honored Reid for his dedication and work on behalf of the school. Reid has been a longtime supporter of the Las Vegas charter school and was able to secure a $190,000 appropriation for the school in 2009 to support their literacy program.

“Rainbow Dreams Charter Academy is an organization true to its name,” said Reid.”This school is making the dream of a quality education possible for children from all backgrounds. I thank them for this honor and remain committed to supporting innovative education initiatives, like Rainbow Dreams Academy that work to prepare Nevada children for to college.”
